This auction is for a
silver and leather Tiffany & Co. letter opener
. The leather handle is embossed with "Bucknell," denoting Bucknell University in Lewisburg, PA. It was made in or around 2008, when it was given to me as a gift.
The letter opener is
8.5" in length
, and
weighs 3.14 ounces (89 grams)
. It is imprinted with "TIFFANY & CO. SPAIN."
It comes with an
iconic Tiffany Blue® pouch and box
.
Note:
This is a used letter opener, and does show very minor surface imperfections on the blade. Note that on the "Bucknell" side of the blade, there is a long surface scratch (see photo). You have to hold it up to a bright light at an angle to see it, so it really does not detract from the overall look of the piece. But I did want to point it out. Note that the leather handle shows no signs of wear, and no scratches or imperfections.
