Tested and still works great!!
Full transparency, there was battery corrosion in both the CD player battery slot and AA battery stick.   As seen in the photo, the battery stick still works.  It is temperamental and needs a tap sometimes so the controller doesn't show "low battery".

However, the battery slots on the CD player itself do not work.
Purchased new batteries to test and was unable to get power to the unit.
Possibly needs deeper cleaning due to corrosion from the original batteries.
The unit can be powered via either battery stick or power adapter (I tested with a universal adapter).
Controller still works.  The volume button seems a little wonky.  But you can play, pause, stop, display light, fast forward, etc.  The back clip is missing however I have the spring and is taped to the outside plastic of the instruction manual package.
In addition to the CD player (obviously), this sale includes the original box, travel case, battery stick, controller, instruction manual, and even batteries which are corroded (and useless).  I believe I have the charger somewhere, need to look for it.
I absolutely love this unit and recognize its importance in the portable CD audio history.  But willing to let someone else enjoy owning it.  Truly a special piece of technology.
