Surplus British Army 90L + 20L Short Back Bergen inDPM (Disruptive Pattern Material) camouflage with IRR (Infra Red Reflective) technology with two 10L removable Side Pouches.
These are the most widely issued rucksack in the world and are among the best mass-produced army rucksacks ever made.
They have seen service in every climate and every part of the world.
After the Falklands War, the British army was convinced they needed a large rucksack, which - unlike anything issued at that time - would be ergonomic to carry over long distances. The civilian manufacturer Berghaus had provided rucksacks for special forces in the Falklands and these were the starting point to develop what would become the PLCE
(Personal Load Carrying Equipment)
rucksack.
Built to handle heavy loads and extreme conditions care was taken when selecting the components. The material chosen

hard wearing

fabric. They also feature heavy duty hardware such as YKK zippers and ITW Nexus buckles.
The lightweight detachable aluminum frame helps to take the weight off your shoulders, while the DPM woodland camouflage pattern ensures you'll blend in with your surroundings. The included side pouches are removable and can be zipped together to form a day pack using the PLCE yoke system(not included).
