    Description

RARE ORIGINAL 1966 AFL Football Al Davis Comm. from Broncos v Houston Oilers Oct 1966
This ball was caught by my Brother in law for the extra point kicked by Gary Stoner.
The rarest of the AFL Game Balls are the Al Davis signature balls. Although 3 versions of the Davis ball were produced by
    Spalding
(striped and plain game balls and white panel autograph balls), only a small total number were made as Al's status as the Commissioner lasted only 4 months (April to July of 1966).
AFL supporter and historian Ange Coniglio reports that when Milt Woodard became the AFL President in July of 1966, Rozelle tried to have all the Davis signature balls destroyed, but it never happened.  Davis signature game balls were used during AFL games in 1966.
The ball is in good condition, it was played with so scuffs are there. You can still read all the marking. It does not hold air well anymore but think about it, it is over 55 years old, how well do you hold air??.  The air issue can be repaired with tire fill but we have chosen to leave that to the buyer.
The Case you see in picture is included.
The ball is not mine it's belongs to my BIL, he is a smoker,
listed as a disclosure incase of issues.
The ball will be shipped USPS,
    if not purchased local
, fully insured and tracked with signature of delivery required.
