Description
The Denon DCD-1500RE, released in 2013, is an audiophile-targeting high-fidelity CD and SACD player and USB-DAC. It features the exceptional “Advanced AL32 Processing Plus” technology, a proprietary data interpolation algorithm which restores data lost during digital recording, allowing for distortion-free sound reproduction with rich low frequencies and accurate sound localization. This algorithm will upconvert the 16-bit CD audio signal to a 32-bit signal and use 16x oversampling for smoother waveform reproduction. The DAC developed for this player is superb, featuring innovations which in particular suppress jitter and enhance SNR. It supports DSD audio up to 5.6 MHz and PCM up to 192kHz/24-bit quality. The DAC features a “PC Pure Direct” isolation construction, where the USB-B interface and signal processing circuits are mounted on the same board, and the signal line is cut off from the PC’s electrical connection (via a high-speed digital isolator). This significantly improves the SNR. This unit was built with high-quality capacitors and resistors. All of these factors allow for the highest possible quality in playback of audio from CDs and SACDs. Like other Denon equipment, the DCD-1500RE is gorgeous in appearance, with an emphasis on luxury.
This unit is in very good condition, with some signs of age and use, including some small scratches on the upper and left sides (please see photos). This player works perfectly and has been thoroughly checked and tested by our professional technician, confirming its flawless operation. The sound quality is superb, as expected.
